Similar to the First Holy Communion, Confirmation is another important religious ceremony for every Catholic boy or girl. During the confirmation ceremony, the child confirms the promises which were made when they were baptised. Each child is assigned with a candidate, this could be a parent, godparent or sibling to act as a sponsor to encourage them to continue practising their faith.
